They are written to be read. Where a plain-English summary appears, it is there to help you — the full clause is what applies.

1. Your account

You need an account to use MethaWeb. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live. If you are creating an account for a company, you are confirming you may agree to these terms on its behalf.

2. What you make is yours

Your content stays yours. The text, images and sites you create belong to you. We do not claim ownership of them and we will not sell them.

You give us only the permission we need to run the service: to store your content, to serve it to visitors of your site, and to show it back to you in the editor. That permission ends when you delete the content or close your account.

You are responsible for what you publish. That includes making sure you have the right to use any text, images, logos or trade marks you upload.

3. AI-generated content

MethaWeb uses AI models to draft websites from your description.

4. Acceptable use

Our Acceptable Use Policy forms part of these terms. In short: don't build anything illegal, deceptive, or aimed at harming other people.

5. Stock photographs

Photos supplied through the built-in image search come from Unsplash under the Unsplash licence. That licence is generous but not unconditional: it requires the photographer to be credited.

MethaWeb adds a small credit line to your site automatically and keeps it accurate as you change images. Please do not remove it. If you do, you are using the photographs outside their licence, and that is a matter between you and the photographer.

You are free to replace stock photos with your own at any time — the credit disappears on its own when the last stock photo is gone.

6. Plans, credits and payment

Paid subscription plans are being introduced and are not yet purchasable; today paid usage is via one-time credit top-ups. When live, paid plans are billed in advance, monthly. Credits included with a plan are added each billing period and unused credits carry over, subject to a maximum balance of twelve months' allowance. Credits purchased as a top-up do not expire.

Accounts without a paid plan receive a one-time allocation of credits, may use the Economy generation tier, and may publish to a subdomain we provide. Publishing to a domain you own requires a paid plan.

Editing your site by hand — text, images, sections, pages — does not consume credits. Only AI generation does.

You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not give partial refunds for an unused part of a period, except where the law requires it.

If a payment fails we will tell you, and try again over several days before suspending the account. Your sites stay online during that period.

7. Availability

We work to keep MethaWeb running, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance, provider outages and faults happen. We do not offer a service-level guarantee on any current plan.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.

We will tell you why, and except where the breach is serious or unlawful, we will give you a chance to put it right first. Where we must act immediately — phishing, malware, content that is illegal — we may suspend first and explain after.

You may close your account whenever you wish. Your published sites come down when you do, so export anything you want to keep beforehand.

9. Your data

See the Privacy Policy for what we collect and why.

You can ask for a copy of your data or ask us to delete it. Deleting your account removes your drafts, sites and form submissions from our systems; backups age out on their normal schedule.

10. Liability

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Subject to that: we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for loss of data where you have not kept your own copy. Our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period.

Practically: if your site matters to your business, keep your own copy of the content, and don't rely on us as your only record of it.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material, you will be asked to accept the new version before continuing to use the service, and the version date at the top will change.

Minor corrections — typos, clarifications that do not change your rights — may be made without asking again.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction. If you deal with us as a consumer in another country, you keep whatever protections your local law gives you that cannot be set aside by agreement.
